Where Success Begins.
Fun, achievement and fitness– these are the goals of the Stony Plain Skating Club.
Whether it be standing up and gliding on skates for the first time, landing that first triple salchow jump, skating to increase fitness, or
improving skating technique for hockey and ringette, the Stony Plain Skating Club has programs designed to assist skaters in achieving these goals.

The Stony Plain Skating Club is proud to be in its 44th season as a Skate Canada club. In 1966,
skaters took lessons on an outdoor rink. The club was thrilled to move into the Stony Plain Centennial Arena
when it opened in 1967 and then, to be the first group to take the ice at the TransAlta TriLeisure Centre in
2002. Over the years, the club has experienced many changes and has grown to be a leader in learn-to-skate
and figure skating programs.
The Stony Plain Skating Club is the largest Skate Canada club in the Parkland area and offers affordable and
convenient lessons for all ages and skill levels at both the Glenn Hall Centennial Arena in Stony Plain and the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove. We are a non-profit organization that is run by a group of dedicated board members and skilled Professional Coaches. Our goal is to become your first choice for skating fun and achievement in the tri-municipal area!
